Accelerated Reader is a program in our district that allows students to take comprehension tests on the computer over books they have read from our school library.  It is a great way to improve comprhension skills and self confidedence!

I require my students to read at least 3 books a week with a parent or adult.  Taking turns reading a book with a parent is the best way to improve comprehension and reading skills at home.

My goal is for each of my students to earn at leat 50 points this year!  I'm always amazed at how excited they are to see thier points growing.
