Welcome to Woodcrest Physical Education! My name is Tammy Droddy, and I am your child's P.E. teacher. I have five children and have been teaching for 20 years, I am very excited about our 2018-19 school year. We are going to have lots of fun learning new games and becoming physically fit!!
1. When you hear the whistle, stop, look, and listen (for directions). 2. Keep your hands and feet to yourself. 3. Be respectful, responsible, and ready. 4. Always do your best.
How to be successful? Is it the best grade? NO! It is the best effort!

Some guidelines for giving your best in all areas . . .
Our "Pride Poster" reflects our behavior goals for students at Woodcrest Elementary School. We believe the way to inspire students to behave well is to focus on good behavior rather than bad behavior. Please encourage your child to practice "Pride Behavior." It will have a great impact on their behavior, and there behavior has a great impact on their academic performance. We strive for excellence at Woodcrest, excellence not necessarily being the highest grade or score, but the best effort! Please help us help your child reach his or her full potential for success.
We will learn the importance of teamwork and how to be a great team player. It is important for a child to understand that, if he or she is a good team player--EVERYONE benefits! They will learn about being a good sport and how to enjoy what we do and not making competition a priority. A good healthy dose of competition can make them perform better, but it is very detrimental for a child to feel he or she must win at an exercise/fitness game to enjoy it. Please help me help them to understand that by joining me in praising their efforts, not just their success.
What's not to like when exercising and getting fit can be made to be so much fun!
