WELCOME TO K-3 Title Reading Class!
My name is Christy Jones. I am excited to welcome you and your child to my Title Reading class. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary education, certified in kindergarten, and specialized in reading K-12. This will be my 28th year of teaching. I have 6 years experience in Port Arthur I.S.D. teaching kindergarten at Booker T. Washington. This will be my 20th year teaching in PN-G I.S.D. I taught 1 year of kindergarten at Taft, and then 19 years in first grade at Van Buren! This will be my third year as the Title Reading teacher and I am super excited about meeting my kiddos this year!My passion has always been to instill a love of reading in my students! My goal is to have your child succeed to the best of their ability and help build their self-esteem! I teach because I dream I can change the world, every single day! I am married with two beautiful children, and have the most precious grandson. Your child will learn a great deal of information this year. With your help and support, we can make your child's year a memorable one!
