    In my classroom I encourage students to become independent thinkers and to have confidence in their abilities.  The learning environment will be a combination of structured learning and collaborative learning with manipulatives to promote learning.
    We will.... treat each other with respect, not make fun of or bully one another that we feel is different from us or our beliefs, we give hi-fives, we work very hard each and every day, and we will be challenged beyond our comfort zone. 
    Attendance = SUCCESS
    Please make sure your child is attending school each day. When a student misses instruction they are also missing the peer interaction and knowledge shared by other students.
    Classroom essentials:
    Math Binder (red 3 ring binder)
    Pencil (mechanical pencils are acceptable unless they becomes a distraction)
    Colored pen (except black or neon)
    Inside the classroom:
    Students will work independently, as a table group, in pairs, around the room, & at a teacher small group. Math binders will be filled as the year progresses. Students are allowed to bring them home to complete any homework assignment.
    Remind messages will be sent with homework and test preparation daily. Please sign up for remind notices - send a text message to 81010 and in message line type @4thmathge. The chat feature is open for any questions after school hours & for any concerns you may have regarding your student.
    Tutorials will be held every Tuesday @ 7:45am
    After school tutorials will be by invitation only beginning in January
