Hello! 

My name is Abby Hightower and I will be your student's Language Arts and Reading Teacher for their 8th grade year. This is my first year teaching at Groves Middle School. I plan to learn a lot and have a fun-filled year in my class! I'm so excited to have your student in my class and I know we are going to have a great year!

Tutorials Monday,Wednesday-Friday 7:45-8:10 (Homework is generally given on Monday and due by Friday) 

 

 

 

Class Procedures

  •  

    1. Come in and complete your daily warm up (Warm ups are to be turned in every 6 weeks) 

    2. Turn in homework to the correct class bin 

    3. Grab absent work from class folder or check Google Classroom 

    4. If someone from your table is absent get an absent form, fill it out, and turn it in to me (See table in the back of the room) 

    5. Pick up after yourself before you leave

    1. Arrive to class on time and ready to learn 

    2. Cell phones should be put up at all times 

    3. Use appropriate and polite language

    4. Do not cheat, plagiarize, or copy work (This includes the internet) 

    5. Never line up before dismissal (I dismiss you not the bell) 

    6. Do your work and turn it in on time
