I was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, October 7, 1965. I have a twin brother, an older brother, and a little sister. Most of my education came from nuns and priests from 2 Catholic schools. After high school, I chose the military route by joining the Air Force. I spent two years in Germany where I met my soul mate from Port Neches, and I spent two years in North Carolina. My husband and I have been married for 30 years.
I tried college after high school, but it really wasn't my thing. I did not attend my first college class until I was 26 years old, and that was at Lamar University in Beaumont. I worked very hard and finished a 5 year education degree in 3 years. My first job was teaching 8th grade English and Reading at Edison Middle School in Port Arthur. I taught at Edison for 12 years, and during that time, received a master's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies.
I wanted to move closer to home, and I found this amazing district that hired me to teach English I in 2008. I love the honor, pride, and tradition of this district, but I really love teaching English.
Although I was born in Ohio, my husband and I and our two beautiful daughters call Port Neches home.
