Mrs. Kelsey Thibodeaux

Mrs. Thibodeaux is currently in her 5th year of teaching. A proud graduate of PN-G herself, she is excited to be able to teach in the same district that she attended. Mrs. Thibodeaux has a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art and Interdisciplinary Studies from Lamar University where she was a member of the Art honor society, Kappa Pi, and president of the National Art Educators Association. Spending a semester abroad studying in Florence, Italy, gave Mrs. Thibodeaux a deeper understanding of her craft allowing her to learn skills and techniques in the birthplace of many of the great artists and sculptors. Mrs. Thibodeaux began her teaching career teaching elementary art at Guess Elementary in Beaumont ISD where she taught for two years before joining the Groves Middle School tribe. During her tenure in Beaumont ISD, Mrs. Thibodeaux received three major grants for her classroom/students for various innovative learning opportunities including stop-motion animation. Art is truly a passion of hers and she loves watching her students achieve their goals both in and out of the classroom.
