Greetings Taft Tribe! My name is Ruthie Wolfe and I am the new Coach at Taft this year. I am excited to have your children in PE and to continue the great traditions of this school as we prepare to move into new buildings next year. I welcome the new challenges elementary school has for me in the coming year.

My education background includes Bachelor's degrees in Business and Education, as well as a Masters in Education and my Principal Certification, all from Lamar University. I taught at Lamar University for several years in the Business Department before starting my family. After several years of raising children and working from home, I returned to teaching. I have many, many years in this district, from subbing to full time at the high school, cheer sponsor to teacher at the Alternative Education Campus, and many other positions along the way.

Although I was a graduate of Thomas Jefferson, my husband and my three grown boys were all born and raised in Groves and grew up to be proud Indians. Now my 7 grandkids are learning the traditions and enjoying the sense of community and pride we all feel as part of the Reservation. I have a senior golf player, a sophomore varsity cheerleader, and 5 others spread from 6th grade through PreK. Needless to say, we are very involved in the district, area sports, and all things PNG. We are also members of Peace Lutheran Church in Groves, active in the Groves Fire Department, and crazy busy with our baseball family at Groves National Little League.

Again, it is my privilege to teach your children this year and I hope they have as much fun as I am having already! See you all at the games.....
