    Hello, my name is Mrs. Blount.  I am a 1st grade teacher at Ridgewood Elementary.  I have been a teacher for 9 years, 5 of those years have been at Ridgewood.  I previously taught Kindergarten at Vidor ISD.  In my time at Ridgewood I have taught first, second, and third grade.  I am so happy to be in first grade again.  First grade is truly a magical year for kiddos!  They learn and grow so much in the short time that we get to be together.  I am married and have one daughter, Logan who is 3.  As a mother, I understand the concerns you may have.  My door is always open to you for any questions or concerns.  I am looking forward to having an amazing year with your children!

  • Birthdays

    We love to celebrate birthdays. You may send a birthday treat to share with the class on your child's birthday. Please send enough for the whole class. If you send a cookie from the Cookie Company, please ask them to precut it before they decorate it.

    **We do have a classmate who has a peanut allergy this year so please keep that in mind when selecting your birthday treat to send.
