In 7th grade math, you will learn many skills to help you this year and in future years.  You will learn many mathematical processes including how to convert between fractions, decimals, and percents.  You will learn how to solve one and two step equations and inequalities. You will continue to build your skills on properly adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing numbers with both positives and negatives.  You will explore area of circles and composite shapes along with learning about volume prisms, and pyramids along with touching on total and lateral surface area of shapes.  You will work on probability, graphs including slope, and financial literacy.  All of these skills will prepare you for 8th grade math as well as careers in the future.
